Liam Neeson is one of the greatest living actors to grace the cinema. He is transitioning seamlessly from various challenging characters and different scripts. But as of now, he has been picking up action-thriller movies and established himself as one of the best action heroes of this generation. He is among very few actors who did justice to the action genre with character depth and great acting.

Neeson’s career took a complete 360 turns when Taken(2008) was released which not only was one of the biggest hits but also established him as an action hero. Then the action film wouldn’t stop coming out. Movies like The Grey (2011), Non-Stop (2014), Unknown (2011), The Commuter (2018) and much more.

But there were various rough patches during his action role career. Although Taken was the biggest hit, other movies did not get the financial and critical hit. But he never backed down and explored the action characters that thoroughly entertained us in cinema.

But in a recent interview, he mentioned that it is time to put down his action-hero role and explore more human characters. He talks about his age catching up and it is the best time to let go of the action genre soon. He predicts that he will retire from the action genre by the end of 2025.

Liam Neeson’s bank balance sore high because of the action movies but his impact in cinema and storytelling is more on the critically loved movies. In old times, Neeson was associated with Schindler’s List (1993), Michael Collins (1996), Les Misérables (1998), Kinsey (2004), and many more movies.

He was critically loved and his acting was adored by Hollywood. His role as Oskar Schindler is regarded as one of the finest performances in cinema history. Neeson’s approach to the character was adored by the audience. Although, sadly, he is retiring from action, we need to be happy about his coming back to a more grounded and human character.

Liam Neeson’s Lastest Venture Are Average Critically

Although the latest movies are adding up his bank balance, the actor is not well received by the audience. And now slowly, his charm as a leading action hero is also fading out. With almost five attempts to make a loved movie, he is failing 3 times so it is high time to retire from action and explore more characters.
