They find the multi-celled organism outside the space and try to examine it but the things do not go according to the plan. The multi-celled organism named ‘Calvin’ causes havoc in the spaceship. It grows bigger and bigger during the run time of the movie. The horror Calvin causes is too gripping and too fearsome. 

 I think the horror element in this movie was fantastic with some great character reveal. It is the kind of movie that creeps into you and scares you instantaneously. With no communication with Earth, how do our characters survive, or do they even survive? Just to go to Netflix and watch this thrilling movie experience.

Morbius

 Morbius is an expansion of Sony’s Spider-man universe. Morbius is led by Jared Leto who plays biochemist Dr.Michael Morbius, an amazing biochemist who has vowed to prepare medicine to cure blood diseases. His company Horizon is successful in making synthetic blood which has saved millions of lives.

Our protagonist came to know of bats living in the jungles of Costa Rica whose blood can be fused with human blood. So, he sets out on the journey of oceans and starts his experiment. The experiment gets unsuccessful as he turns into a living vampire who sucks on the blood of a human being.  

Morbius shares the universe with Venom so it might be possible to see our two anti-heroes battling against the gruesome villains. There is the post-credit scene in this movie that reveals about the cross-over universes also so go watch and have fun.

Ghost rider

 A flaming motorbike-riding ghost who goes on a mysterious action-packed journey to find himself is an amazing premise to get into. This movie is a combination of action and horror elements with a little hint of suspense.

In this movie, Nicolas Cage plays a motorcyclist who trades his soul with the devil to save his father’s life. The devil makes him the new ghost rider who was assigned to kill the black heart.

The action sequence in this movie is gruesome, over-the-top, and funny. Director James Gunn handled the plot so masterfully bringing the absurd and funny parts of all the characters to make this movie more human and funny. M. Night Shyamalan returned to his roots to make a bone-chilling, nail-biting psychological thriller starring James McAvoy and Anya Taylor-Joy in lead roles. The story starts when a man with disassociated identity disorder kidnaps the three girls from a parking lot. 

He imprisons them in a secret underground for some kind of ritual. This movie is an exploration of the mind of Kevin who is residing 23 personalities inside his head. Kevin means no harm to others but he embodies the sinister character who is cruel and violent.

Unlike other movies of M. Night Shyamalan, this movie does not hinge on the ending and twist but rather explores character, and provides horror elements. It’s a full and satisfying movie to enjoy. I would like to mention that James McAvoy in this movie is prolific, the way he switches his character is alluring. So, just go and watch this movie.

Predator

Predator is an action pack, adrenaline-rushing science fiction action movie about a paramilitary rescue team that performs rescue missions in the world’s hotspots. This movie stars Arnold Schwarzenegger who plays an elite special force resume. 

He and his crewmates are summoned to save hostages in the guerrilla-held territory. But there is more to the story than the guerrilla, its storytelling just hides behind the friends and war but earns an inhuman character gets introduced the movie goes wild.

I know I’m breaking the two rules of Fight Club by mentioning it in this list but it’s worth it. Fight Club is a high-octave movie that you should not miss. It’s a trip, a journey into the mind of an unnamed narrator who is unsatisfied with his white-collar job. 

He is suffering from insomnia so he visits various rehabilitation centers and therapy groups to cope with his condition. But his life takes a quick turn when he meets a shop salesman named Tyler Durden. Tyler Durden is completely different from our protagonist, he lives his life by his own rules and he does not live by society’s standards.

Fight Club is a psychological thriller integrated with daily philosophy and an underlying mystery that raises questions about everything a character does. 

The director helms this movie as a satire of this modern world. He blends intriguing filmmaking with an alluring premise that is so mind-bending and confusing at the time. But the movie’s ending pays off very well and leaves with so many questions.

Upgrade

Upgrade is a dystopian science fiction revenge flick that follows a technophobe named Grey Trace who is paralyzed after he is attacked and mugged. He remorse about his wife being coldly murdered by the goons. 

This movie depicts the influence of technology and the human story surrounding the technological facade. The story of this movie seems straightforward but it takes dark turns very soon in the story. When Grey visits  Eron, the creator of the AI chip, STEM the story picks up.

The fact that he breaks the fourth wall just to talk shit about himself is too absurd and funny to watch. 

He just casually describes how is the product of an experiment and because a mutant, gifted with amazing fighting power and regeneration ability.  This movie just gets on your nerves and pumps you up with the storytelling and action sets.

Hulk

Hulk is not a conventional superhero movie. This movie depicts the story of a man who thinks he is cured by the power he has. The inhumane experiment done by his father made him less of a human and the accident gamma radiation exposure made him an uncontrollable angry monster that lashes out whenever he gets angry.

The monster inside doesn’t relate to any human characteristics, he is just a missionary, a ruthless angry creature who will hurt anyone who comes his way.  

Apart from the heavy drama and science fiction stuff, Hulk has one of the finest action set pieces. The use of CGI compliments the action of the movie and is commendable, considering this movie was made in 2003.
